Charge renewals with the gateways you already use

Most subscription plugins only charge automatic renewals with Stripe or PayPal. Advanced Subscriptions for WooCommerce adds Redsys and Bizum, the payment methods of Spanish banks, and connects to the official plugins of Stripe, PayPal, and WooPayments without replacing them: they continue to store the credentials, tokens, and webhooks, and the plugin only uses them to charge each renewal without the customer being present.

Subscriptions with Bizum. The integrated Bizum can sell subscriptions and charge renewals automatically, without the customer having to do anything. Their Bizum is saved as a payment method, just like a card, and appears in My account > Payment methods, where they can delete it or add another. It is disabled by default: activate it only if your bank has enabled recurring payments with Bizum in your POS, as not all banks offer it yet.

From WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced Subscriptions you can see in real-time which gateways are detected and ready to charge renewals. Any other gateway that declares subscription support can manage its own renewals through the plugin's scheduler.

Subscription products for any business model

• Simple and variable subscriptions. Each variation can have its own price, period, and conditions, and you can mix subscription and one-time purchase variations in the same product.
• Multiproduct subscriptions (subscription boxes). Group several products into a single subscription with a single charge.
• Any periodicity: every X days, weeks, months, or years.
• Free trial period and limit of canceled trials per customer to prevent abuse.
• Sign-up fee, charged once per subscription.
• Limited duration or indefinite, and option for the customer to choose when it ends.
• Fixed renewal day (for example, the 1st or the last day of each month) with prorating of the first charge.
• Multiple subscriptions in the same cart and subscriptions with quantity: a subscription of 3 units renews for 3 units.
• Minimum commitment: define how many days must pass before the customer can cancel.

Subscribe and save: one-time purchase or subscription in the same product

Turn one-time buyers into recurring customers, just like big online stores do. On the product page, the customer chooses between "One-time purchase" and "Subscribe and save", with the savings visible on a label.

• Discounts from 1% to 50% per product, per variation, by rules or globally.
• Rules by price, category, tag, or specific products; the first one that matches wins.
• Option to also discount the first order and limit the number of discounted orders.
• The customer can choose the delivery frequency within the limits you set.
• In the cart, each line of one-time purchase can be switched to subscription, and the totals show the savings.
• The conditions are saved in the subscription upon sign-up, so changing the settings never alters the price of existing subscriptions.

With WooCommerce Subscriptions, this feature requires a separate paid extension. Here it is included.

Loyalty discounts for renewals

Reward those who stay. Define discount tiers that apply from a specific renewal: for example, 5% from the third and 10% from the sixth.

• Discounts by percentage or fixed amount, on the first payment or by number of renewals.
• Discounts by customer role and discount tiers on coupons.
• Discount table on the product page with five designs, colors, and configurable texts.
• They combine with "Subscribe and save", adding or applying afterwards.
• The tiers are saved upon contracting: editing the product does not change what current subscribers pay.

Reliable charges: retries and protection against double charges

A subscription plugin moves money every day, and version 3.0.0 has been audited precisely for that.

• Automatic retries when a renewal fails, with configurable intervals and cancellation after the number of attempts you decide.
• No renewal is charged twice: if the gateway does not respond (a timeout, a network error), the renewal is held and checked in the gateway before retrying.
• Blocking of simultaneous executions: even if several WP-Cron or Action Scheduler processes coincide, each period is charged only once.
• Enhanced authentication (SCA): if the bank requests verification, the plugin detects it, schedules the retry, and allows you to notify the customer.
• Refunds with clear rules: the full refund of the first order cancels the subscription; the refund of a renewal cancels it only if you activate it.
• Daily calendar review: if a scheduled renewal is missing, the plugin restores it.

Your customers manage themselves from My account

Fewer support emails and fewer cancellations. From My account, the customer can:

• View their subscriptions, upcoming renewals, and associated orders.
• Pause the subscription and resume it whenever they want.
• Cancel it, respecting the minimum commitment you have set.
• Change the quantity and frequency, with a preview of the new amount and new date.
• Change plan (upgrade or downgrade) with prorating.
• Change the address and payment method, also with Stripe.
• Pay a pending or failed renewal.

You decide what actions you allow in each store.

Plan changes with prorating

Let your customers upgrade or downgrade their plan without losing them. The plugin calculates the credit for the period already paid and discounts it, with options to prorate the price and sign-up fee, allow changes only between plans of the same interval, or prevent downgrades.

Automatic emails for every moment of the subscription

Eight emails integrated into WooCommerce's email system, editable from your theme like any other:

• Renewal invoice (with payment link in manual renewals).
• Reminder before the next renewal.
• Notice that the subscription is about to expire, with the days in advance that you choose.
• Subscription canceled.
• Subscription expired.
• Subscription paused.
• Subscription resumed after a pause.

Administration designed for day-to-day

• Subscription screen within WooCommerce with filters, sorting, and CSV export.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need WooCommerce Subscriptions to use this plugin?

No. Advanced Subscriptions for WooCommerce is a complete and independent subscription plugin. You do not need to purchase or install the official extension.

Can I charge subscriptions with Redsys?

Yes. The Redsys gateway is included. The first payment is made with the customer's card, and renewals are charged automatically with the saved card, as long as your bank has activated saved card payment in your POS.

Can I charge subscriptions with Bizum?

Yes. The included Bizum charges the first payment and renewals automatically with the Bizum that the customer saves when subscribing. Your bank must have activated recurring payments with Bizum in your POS; not all entities offer it yet, so check with yours.

Does it work with Stripe, PayPal, and WooPayments?

Yes. The plugin connects to the official plugins of Stripe (7.0 or higher, including SEPA), PayPal Payments (2.0 or higher), and WooPayments (7.0 or higher) and charges renewals with the payment method that the customer saved when subscribing. PayPal Standard is not compatible because WooCommerce has removed it.

What happens if a renewal payment fails?

The plugin retries the charge according to the intervals you configure, notifies the store, and if attempts run out, cancels the subscription. The customer can pay the pending renewal from My account.

Can my customers pause or cancel their subscription?

Yes, if you allow it. They can pause, resume, cancel, change plan, quantity, frequency, address, and payment method from My account. You can set a minimum commitment before they can cancel.

Can I offer one-time purchase and subscription in the same product?

Yes, with "Subscribe and save". The customer chooses on the product page or in the cart, and sees how much they save by subscribing.

Is it compatible with HPOS and block checkout?

Yes. It is compatible with HPOS, with the block cart and checkout, with classic checkout, and with classic and block themes.

Do I lose subscriptions if I deactivate or delete the plugin?

No. Subscriptions are saved as WooCommerce orders. When the plugin is deleted, its settings and scheduled tasks are removed, but not the subscriptions, orders, or customer data. If you reinstall it, they return as they were.

How many websites can I use with one license?

It depends on the license: 1, 2, or 3 sites. Each license includes one year of updates and support.
