New version 7.0.0 of the Redsys gateway for WooCommerce from WooCommerce.com
This is a major version, which means you are adding functionalities.
Branch Versions
7.0.0
Added:
- Added MasterPass
- Returns from WooCommerce for payments made via Bizum.
- Added test mode only for selected users in the extension settings, which means that Bizum can remain active on the site in live mode, but selected users will work in Bizum’s test mode.
- For both card payments and Bizum payments, I have added a new field called TEST SHA256 in each of the settings. The reason for this is that recently, Redsys has started providing a different test SHA256 than the one it has been providing for the last 8 years. This has caused issues on sites using this new test SHA256, as they had problems with the functionality of putting the gateway only in test mode for certain users. If the field is left empty, the traditional SHA256 will be used.
- Now it checks if the card token is still valid (the card has not expired), if it is not valid, a new one will be requested.
- From now on, you can deactivate tokenization for Subscriptions. By default, it is active.
- Now all payment methods appear directly in the settings. There is no need to activate them before configuring them. I did this for usability and the number of different methods that are starting to appear in the premium plugin.
- New currency checking method.
- More languages for Redsys have been added.
- Order Export removed from the plugin, it had lost quality and caused issues.
- Many tools for developers have been added, which has meant a complete refactoring of the plugin.
- Unified date, day/time, and authorization number in orders. This way, not too many fields appear.
- From this version, tokens can be shared between different websites, terminals, etc., under the umbrella of the same company.
- Iupay removed, Redsys has simply closed it in favor of Bizum.
- Declared compatibility with WooCommerce 4.0
- Declared compatibility with WordPress 5.4
Improved:
- Now it is not necessary to activate one-click payment for the token to be requested if it is an order that includes a subscription. Thus, it only saves card tokens for users who have a subscription. The reason for this is that some banks now charge for storing tokens, meaning they have created tiers for which they charge based on the number of tokenized cards. For example, Banco Santander, along with the plan they call Venta+, has created tiers for which they charge more or less each month depending on the number of tokenized cards.

2. Improvement in the design and usability of the notification that appears in the administration after each update.
Fixed:
- Fixed a small bug where some Redsys debug lines were saved even if they were not active.
- Fixed a small error in Bizum’s test mode.
Minor Versions
7.0.1
- Fixed a problem with the official Redsys libraries that caused a fatal error on some servers.
7.0.2
- Fixed a problem with the necessary JS for Private Products, which broke the specific tab created by the plugin on the product screen > Private Products.
- Error when including a necessary file for sending emails if the option to notify users of payment issues was active.
7.0.3
- Fixed a problem that occurred on some servers, where pre-authorizations could not be approved from the order administration.
If you still do not have the official extension from WooCommerce.com for Redsys, you can purchase it at this address and enjoy all the features that no other plugin offers.
If you are not familiar with everything it offers, you can check this table where I show the differences and you will see that the premium label of this plugin is due to everything it offers and differentiates.
