New version 6.0.0 of the Redsys gateway for WooCommerce from WooCommerce.com
I have created a Telegram channel so you can stay informed about all the news and updates regarding both Redsys and my plugins for Redsys. It would be important for you to join as Redsys is the backbone of your store, the payment. You can sign up at this address https://t.me/wooredsys
This is a major version
A major version means that important new functionalities are added to the version, in this case;
Added:
- Bizum compatible with Let’s Encrypt. From now on, you can use Bizum if you have it activated on your terminal. You just need to go to the Redsys configuration, activate Bizum to enable the Bizum configuration. Once done, you will be able to access the Bizum configuration.
- Added compatibility with the WooCommerce Deposit plugin. Currently, only the redirection (with tokenization) of all the different payment methods added by the premium plugin is compatible, meaning neither Iupay nor Bizum. In the future, I will also be adding compatibility for these. It should be noted that my Redsys plugin is the only payment gateway plugin (not just Redsys) that is 100% compatible with the WooCommerce Deposits plugin. What this compatibility does is add the ability to charge the remaining cost using the user’s saved token. This way, you do not depend on the user making the transfer to collect the rest. My premium plugin is the only one that adds this functionality as it is not part of the Core of Deposits.
Improved:
- Now all Webservice connections are forced not to be verified. This means that banks that respect the field “DS_MERCHANT_DIRECTPAYMENT” will not need to disable 3DSecure for the use of Tokens for subscriptions. I repeat, this does not apply to all banks and in some cases, it may still be necessary to request the deactivation of 3DSecure.
- Now, when new Tokens are created, those tokens are always marked as “Default”. This is because under some circumstances, which I have not been able to reproduce on my servers, some tokens were saved without being marked as Default (which theoretically WooCommerce already does) and there were issues with the Subscriptions plugin.
Fixed:
I have fixed a problem where the Widget code to add a card, in some version, stopped loading, and by fixing this problem, the Widget to display cards is showing again.
Since I do not have Bizum on my terminal, two people from the WordPress community, Fernando J. Fernandez and Mariano Perez, who have the website https://101vinosconencanto.es/ are letting me use their development site for the implementation of the Bizum gateway. So I am very grateful that they have allowed me to do this, as this way all of you will be able to enjoy all the improvements that I will be implementing over the next few weeks.
If you still do not have the official extension from WooCommerce.com for Redsys, you can purchase it at this address and enjoy all the features that no other plugin offers.
If you are not aware of everything it offers, you can check this table where I show the differences and you will see that the premium label of this plugin is due to everything it offers and differentiates.
