New version 5.4.3 of the Redsys gateway for WooCommerce from WooCommerce.com
This is a maintenance version in which I have fixed several issues and improved the appearance of another.
- I fixed a bug where sequential invoice numbers were not displayed in the order list. They are now displayed again. You just need to activate the functionality, and in the screen options of the order list page in the admin, select to show the column.
- On the thank you page, I added a check to verify if the order is being sent. This is not a bug per se, as theoretically, no one should reach this page without placing an order, but a particular customer reported it to me as they send customers to this page without having placed orders, which caused a fatal error as it was not related to an order.
- I fixed a bug where if there is a user in test mode in the extension settings, this user would always be in test mode even if the activation check was unchecked. Now users can be in the list, and they will not be in test mode unless the check is activated.
- I have removed (hopefully temporarily) the ability for users to change the payment method themselves in Subscriptions. I did this because several users reported that when a user changes the payment method, they are charged the subscription fee again. I have been investigating a way to ensure no charge (cost 0), but so far I have not found any solution, nor has anyone been able to tell me how to resolve it (from the WooCommerce and Subscriptions developers).
- Finally, I made some aesthetic improvements to the admin notification that provides the link to view the entry explaining what the new version brings, as many people were not even aware of it. I hope it is now more visible.
